1. Major areas of the psychology of leadership

Learning Outcome

Students will demonstrate a basic understanding of the major areas of the psychology of leadership, including leadership as trait or as function; leadership styles (charismatic, transactional, transformational); contingency and situational leadership; ethics and responsibility; influence tactics; teamwork and team-building; motivation and coaching skills; creativity and innovation; communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution; strategic and tactical leadership; leadership development and succession planning. Measurement: Multiple choice tests, short essays.
