BYU Online High School
Department Information:
BYU Online High School provides high-quality, standards-based, individualized education for a wide variety of
students by offering flexible alternatives to traditional schooling, utilizing proven online teaching practices in a
safe, technology-enabled learning environment. We strive to provide a balanced education that allows parents
the transparency to see what their children are learning. All high school courses are designed according to
national and state standards by teams of teachers and instructional designers who are experts in their fields.
BYU Online High School - Semester Program is a full-time, semester-based (August-December and January -
May), diploma-granting, private high school program serving students across the United States and around the
world. Students in grades 9-12 enjoy the fun and interaction that learning online offers while meeting their
unique educational needs. The Semester Program offers synchronous and asynchronous learning, clubs,
Student Council, National Honor Society, weekly student activities including hangouts and devotionals/forums,
and two diploma tracks, Standard and Advanced.
BYU Online High School - Flex Program is a full-time, year-round, diploma-granting, private high school
program serving students (ages 14-18) across the United States and around the world. Students in grades 9-12
enjoy the flexibility that learning online offers while meeting their unique educational needs. The Flex Program
offers asynchronous learning that can be completed at a time and pace that is best for the student and two
diploma tracks, Standard and Advanced.
BYU Online High School - Adult Program is a full-time, year -round, diploma-granting, private high school
programs serving adult students (ages 19+) across the United States and around the world. Adult students
enjoy the flexibility and learning online offers while meeting their unique educational needs. The Flex Program
offers asynchronous learning that can be completed at a time and pace that is best for the adult student and one
Standard diploma track to students who are 19 or older.
